Allbright, 93, died at 337 North Hancock street at 5:45 p.m. Sunday. The daughter of the Rev. Andrew Hopkins and Roanna E. Bean [sic] Hopkins, she was born April 23, 1863, at Glasgow, Iowa. She had lived in the Ottumwa vicinity most of her life with the exception of a few years residence in Des Moines. Her marriage to David C. Allbright took place September 22, 1881 at Fairfield. He died June 1, 1935. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Peel of Livermore, Calif., Mrs. Garnet Davis of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Blanche Dillon of Pleasanton, Calif., and Mrs. Grace Davis of Ottumwa; three sons, Harlan J. Allbright of Denver, and George and Carl Allbright of Des Moines; 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death, besides her husband, by three sons, one daughter, five sisters and one brother. She was the last member of her immediate family. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel pending completion of funeral arrangements. “Allbright Services,” From “Ottumwa Courier," March 19, 1957: Funeral services for Mrs. Lestina T. Allbright, 93, who died at 337 North Hancock street at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Johnson funeral chapel. The Rev. Paul M. Hann, D.D., pastor of the First Methodist church, will be in charge. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Davis, Howard Davis, Bruce Dillon, William Allbright, Roy Allbright, and Henry Allbright.
