Description	:	Leta Mae (Garner) Hamblen, 88, of Farmington, Ark., passed away on Oct. 2, 2019, at Washington Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 9, 1931, in Muldrow, Okla., to William Harley and Lena Garner. Leta was one of 10 children whose family survived the depression of the 1930s. Read More	Leta Mae (Garner) Hamblen, 88, of Farmington, Ark., passed away on Oct. 2, 2019, at Washington Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 9, 1931, in Muldrow, Okla., to William Harley and Lena Garner. Leta was one of 10 children whose family survived the depression of the 1930s. The Garner family worked a large peach farm in Clarksville, Ark., then in 1943 they relocated to Farmington, Ark., where Leta met the love of her life, Herbert "Jack" Hamblen. They dated until Jack was drafted in 1944; after he returned they were married in the Walnut Grove Church. Leta was a homemaker until a house fire destroyed all their possessions, so then she worked for Sears and McIlroy Bank to help support her family and rebuild the home. She was an active member of Walnut Grove Presbyterian Church, enjoyed working in her flower beds, and was devoted to her family. Leta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, Jack, siblings Lewis "Buddy", Billy, Glen, and Dorothy "Dot" Hamblen, Reba Tannehill, and Leola Woodard, and son-in-law Kelley Lewis. She is survived by her children Gary "Jackie" (Faye), and Linda Marie Lewis (Gene Jones), grandsons Gary Hamblen (Kellye) and Kevin Lewis (Ashley), great-grandchildren L.J., Abigayle, and Sarah, and brothers Bobby (Peggy), Paul (Marcia), and Harley, Jr. (Becky). Visitation will be Sun., Oct. 6, 2019, from 1:30 to 3 pm at Luginbuel Funeral Home, 115 N. Neal, Prairie Grove, Ark. 72753. Funeral services will be Mon., Oct. 7, 2019, at 10 am at The Chapel at Walnut Grove (formerly the Presbyterian Church) on Hwy. 170 in Farmington, Ark.
