Description	:	"Leta Marie (Hofeldt) Hacecky was born on September 16, 1934 in McCook, Nebraska to Peter and Lillian (Edson) Hofeldt. She grew up in Omaha where she attended grade school and graduated from Omaha Benson High School in 1951. As a young girl, Leta enjoyed attending local dances with her sister. Leta married Milton Hacecky on May 3, 1958 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Omaha, Nebraska and they were blessed with three daughters: Tracy, Vicky and Amy. She grew up in Omaha where she attended grade school and graduated from Omaha Benson High School in 1951. As a young girl, Leta enjoyed attending local dances with her sister. Leta married Milton Hacecky on May 3, 1958 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Omaha, Nebraska and they were blessed with three daughters: Tracy, Vicky and Amy. Leta and Milt raised their daughters in Omaha. Leta worked at Central States Insurance Company in Omaha for 46 years, retiring in 1996. She worked her way up from receptionist to the Director of Human Resources. Not one to be idle, Leta went to work in the kitchen at Omaha Northwest High School after her “retirement”. Leta loved to shop and she possessed a strong sense of fashion. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, attending dances all over the region and vacations but her passion was spending time at the family home on Lake Okoboji. Leta was a strong, hard-working, caring woman with a passion for her family. She was an avid Husker fan, enjoyed a cup of coffee and a cigarette and dinner out almost anywhere. Leta passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 12 days. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Lillian, brothers Milo, Kenneth and Don, great granddaughter Lainey and brother-in-law Jack. Leta is survived by her husband Milt; daughters and sons-in-law Tracy and Dave Hoefer of Elgin, NE, Vicky Correll and fiancée Barry Kolterman of Blair and Amy and Dr. Frank Mezzacappa of Omaha; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brother Mark (Eva) Hofeldt of Las Vegas, NV; sister Marge Huddleston of Henderson, NV; sisters-in-law Carolyn Hofeldt of Arlington, NE and Marilyn Hofeldt of Omaha."
