BROCK, pastor of the church in charge. Burial will be made in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Horton, son of William A. and Cyrena HORTON, was born in Fulton county near Ebenezer community on Oct. 15, 1848. He was married on March 30, 1873, to Susan COFFING. Horton was widely known in both Fulton and Miami counties. Until 10 years ago, he was active in farming and had been a farmer all of his life. Survivors besides the [wife] are one son, Davis HORTON of near Rochester; one daughter, Mrs. Lola ALLEN, at home; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One son, Eugene [HORTON], preceded him in death. The body has been removed from the Ditmire funeral home at Fulton to the residence, where friends may call. Horton, ages 91 and 84 years respectively, will observe their sixty-sixth wedding anniversary Thursday. The celebrants, two of Macy's most respected residents, have been active in Macy Christian church for nearly seventy years. Mrs. Horton belongs to the Aid society of the church, is a charter member of Macy Mothers' club and belongs to the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She celebrated her eighty-fourth birthday anniversary Sunday. --Mr. Horton, a farmer, was born at Millwark, Ind., Fulton county, Oct. 15, 1848. His parents were among the first white settlers in Miami county. Mr. Horton's great grandmother attained the age of 103 years and his grandfather died at the age of 95. Mrs. Horton was born in Defiance county, Ohio, March 26, 1856. --Mr. Horton and the former Susan Catherine Coffing were married at the home of the latter March 30, 1873, by the Reverend Valentine Thompson. Immediately following the ceremony the couple located on a farm in this community and resided there 23 years, purchasing at the end of that period their present home. --Four children were born to the couple, only two of whom are living. They are William Davis of this community and Mrs. Lola Allen of Blue Island, Ill. Grandchildren include Howard H. Allen of Jackson, Mich.; Miss Leonore Allen, Chicago, and Joseph L.
