Description	:	Levi Jefferson Cole was the oldest child of Robert Richard Cole and Martha Ann Rebecca Smith Cole. He was born and raised in Huttig, Union County, Arkansas. Levi served in the United States Army during World War I. On 12 February 1921, Levi Jefferson Cole and Clara Lee Joiner were married by Alfred Worthington in Union County, Arkansas. This marriage was recorded in Book Y, page 202 of Union County marriages. Clara was from Bolding, Union, Arkansas. Read More	Levi Jefferson Cole was the oldest child of Robert Richard Cole and Martha Ann Rebecca Smith Cole. He was born and raised in Huttig, Union County, Arkansas. Levi served in the United States Army during World War I. On 12 February 1921, Levi Jefferson Cole and Clara Lee Joiner were married by Alfred Worthington in Union County, Arkansas. This marriage was recorded in Book Y, page 202 of Union County marriages. Clara was from Bolding, Union, Arkansas. On 28 December 1920, Levi purchased from Foster Jarrell 21 and 1/2 acres in Union County, Arkansas for $650. On 30 December 1920, the deed was recorded in Record Book No. 93, page 76. Levi was a small timber contractor, and he farmed when he did not have timber to cut. He lived all of his life in Union County, Arkansas except for about the last year of his life when he lived in Chicot County, Arkansas. Levi and Clara's three children were Levi Duncan "L.D." Cole, Clayton Murphy Cole and Mildred Haseltine Cole Blydenburgh. Four of Levi's ancestors are documented Daughters of the American Revolution soldiers and patriots, and these ancestors are 2nd Lt. Miles Gathwright (VA), Ensign Walter Poole (VA), Major Croom, Sr. (NC) and James Collins (NC).
