Description	:	Levi, a plasterer, was born to John Landess and Sarah J. Roush. He died after he was kicked in the abdomen by a horse. "Levi Landess was kicked in the abdomen by a horse he was currying Friday morning and died from the effects of the injury on Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Mr. Landess was currying the horse, which was a three year stallion, and struck it on the flank with the comb to make it stand over. Read More	Levi, a plasterer, was born to John Landess and Sarah J. Roush. He died after he was kicked in the abdomen by a horse. "Levi Landess was kicked in the abdomen by a horse he was currying Friday morning and died from the effects of the injury on Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Mr. Landess was currying the horse, which was a three year stallion, and struck it on the flank with the comb to make it stand over. Deceased was 79 years of age but enjoying excellent health. The funeral services were held from the late residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E. D. Murch, of the Christian Church. Interment was made in the Hillsboro cemetery. Three sons, Arch, of this place, Oren, of Freeport, Ill., and Andrew, of Oklahoma, survive him." -The News-Herald (Hillsboro, OH) May 6th, 1909
