Description	:	L.B. Ward, 78, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He was born May 13, 1922, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Sampson Ward and Louise Barrineau Ward. He retired in 1985 from International Paper Co. after 36 years. He was a member of Carolina Bay Hunting Club, and was an Army World War II veteran. He was a member of Screven Baptist Church and the Keystone Sunday School Class and was a former deacon. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette L. Ward; two sons, Russell Ward and his wife, Dora, of Irmo and Randall Ward of Georgetown; three daughters, Donna Clark and her husband, Alan, of Aiken, Lou Ann Cannon and her husband, Gerald, and Lisa Daniels and her husband, Chuck, all of Georgetown; six brothers, Woodrow Ward and Franklin Ward, both of Georgetown, Raymond Ward of Andrews, Lewis Ward and Julian Ward both of Trio and Norman Ward of North Charleston; a sister, Mae Cooper of Aiken; six grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation was Saturday at Graham Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Screven Baptist Church. The Rev. Wayne Ellis will officiate. Burial will be in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
