Description	:	Lewis Mervin Crawford was born January 20, 1871, parted this life May 22, 1939 at the age of 68 years, 4months and 2 days. When 11 years of age he and his parents moved to Missouri. In 1902 he united with the Church of Christ at St. Louis, Mo. He was united in marriage Miss Cathryn Priscilla Atwood, January 7, 1913. To this union was born two children, Dorothy Margery who died in infancy and Ralph Willard. In 1917 with his wife he homesteaded in Cook county, Minnesota. While in Minnesota he helped in organizing a new church... Read More	Lewis Mervin Crawford was born January 20, 1871, parted this life May 22, 1939 at the age of 68 years, 4months and 2 days. When 11 years of age he and his parents moved to Missouri. In 1902 he united with the Church of Christ at St. Louis, Mo. He was united in marriage Miss Cathryn Priscilla Atwood, January 7, 1913. To this union was born two children, Dorothy Margery who died in infancy and Ralph Willard. In 1917 with his wife he homesteaded in Cook county, Minnesota. While in Minnesota he helped in organizing a new church which became known at The United Congregational church and as there was no church of his choice near he united with this church. In January 1932 the affliction befell him that left him an invalid to the end. In the fall of 1933 the family moved to Nebraska where they remained until death called him to his reward. He leaves to mourn his death, his good wife, and one son, Ralph. Two sisters, Mrs. Ida Banes, Mrs. W. A. (Jennie) Collins, one brother James A. Crawford, five nephews, one niece and a host of relatives and friends who shall mourn his death. Those from out of town attending L. M. Crawford's funeral were Mrs. W. A. Collins, Bend, Oregon, Mrs. Ida Banes, J. A. Crawford, De Witt, Nebr., Mrs. R. D. Banes of Lexington, Mo.; Mrs. M. J. Moler, Miss Ruth Moler and Miss Wilma Roth of Ravenna, Nebr.; Mrs. Frank Houdersheldt, Mrs. Lillie Stahn and Mrs. Cora Badgley of Crete; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ahlschwede and Miss Marguerite of Dorchester and Lee Badgley of Staplehurst.
