The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Gandy, of this city, and spent practically his entire life here. He had been an employee of the Tawes Ice Company for several years and was liked and respected by all who knew him. He was a member of Immanuel Methodist Episcopal Church and was also a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola L. Gandy, and by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Gandy. Funeral services were held at his late home on Somerset Avenue, Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. J. Bunting, pastor of Immanuel M. E. Church, assisted by Rev. W. L. Hoffman, pastor of Mount Pleasant M. P. Church. Pall bearers were G. Raymond Matthews, G. E. Sheriff, Walter Anklam, A. Wellington Tawes, J. Otis Ford, Thomas Martin.
