She was born in Bohemia and was married there in 1843 to her now bereaved companion, Wencel Kremenak. They came to Tama county, Iowa, October, 1870. Their home has been with their son John, in Otter Creek township. She was the mother of nine children, only four of them living. The others dying in infancy in the old country. She was raised in the Catholic church where she continued, and was buried with the services of that church, Albert Kosnar, of Oneida, officiating. The interment was in the Salasek cemetery on Saturday, the 11th of August. The very large attendance at the funeral showed the high esteem in which she was hold. James W. and Joseph Kremenak, our shoe dealers in Toledo, will have the sympathy of our citizens in the loss of their mother. Twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren are included also among the bereaved ones.
