Description	:	Lidwina Walters, 95, a lifelong resident of Catherine, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at St. John's Nursing Home in Hays, where she had been a resident since July of 2000. She was born Sept. 22, 1905, in Catherine to Ignatius and Rosa (Befort) Polifka. She married Tony J. Walters on Nov. 5, 1924, in Catherine. He died Jan. 2, 1977. she was a homemaker and a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church and Catherine Christian Mothers. Survivors include two sons, to, Catherine, and Pat, Ness City; four daughters, Sister Ann Walters, Hays, Sister Rose Walters, Salina, Katie Perion, Haslett, Mich., and Nettie Kuhn, Addison, Texas; two sisters, Bertha Schutz and Tina Schumacher, both of Hays; 34 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sons, Herb, Dan, Delbert and Marvin; and a daughter, Dolores Giebler. services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Catherine, with Father Michael Suchnicki officiating; burial in St. Catherine Cemetery. Visitation will be until 8:30 p.m. today; and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine. There will be a Catherine Christian Mothers rosary at 7 p.m.; and a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m.; today at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the St. Catherine Cemetery Fund.
