Description	:	PIERRE \| Lila Anthony, 66, formerly of Rapid City, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Avera Maryhouse. Lila was born April 17, 1947, in Bonesteel to Wayne and Mable (Beem) Chambers. She grew up in Winner, where she attended school. She was united in marriage to Dennis Anthony on June 13, 1964, in Winner. They moved to Anchorage, AK, where Dennis was stationed in the Army for three years. In 1973, they moved to Pierre before moving to Sidney, NE, in 1975. Read More	PIERRE \| Lila Anthony, 66, formerly of Rapid City, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Avera Maryhouse. Lila was born April 17, 1947, in Bonesteel to Wayne and Mable (Beem) Chambers. She grew up in Winner, where she attended school. She was united in marriage to Dennis Anthony on June 13, 1964, in Winner. They moved to Anchorage, AK, where Dennis was stationed in the Army for three years. In 1973, they moved to Pierre before moving to Sidney, NE, in 1975. While in Sidney they owned and operated a Motel. In 1987, they moved to Winner to take care of a loved one, then moved to Rapid City in 1990. Lila went to work at Herberger's, where she enjoyed going to work every day. Lila and Dennis were privileged to be foster parents until 1993. Spending time with family and especially her grandchildren was what Lila enjoyed most of all. Lila is survived by her daughter, Patty and husband Scot Heintz of Overland Park, KS; two grandchildren; a brother, Orval Chambers of Texas, and a sister Edna Brady of Pierre. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis. She will be buried with her husband at Black Hills National Cemetery with private family services at a later date. Isburg Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
