Description	:	Lillian G. “Geri” Kohman, age 78, passed away Monday, September 3rd, in Abilene, Kansas She was born December 17, 1939, in Abilene, the daughter of W. Eyler Holt, Sr. and Lillian M. Holt.Geri grew up on the Holt family farm south of Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School.She attended Emporia State University before becoming employed by United Trust in Abilene.Geri married William J. “Bill” Kohman in 1964 and subsequently quit her job with United Trust to raise their three sons on the Kohman family farm near Hope, KS. Holt.Geri grew up on the Holt family farm south of Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School.She attended Emporia State University before becoming employed by United Trust in Abilene.Geri married William J. “Bill” Kohman in 1964 and subsequently quit her job with United Trust to raise their three sons on the Kohman family farm near Hope, KS. After her sons were grown, Geri worked at both Cromwell Construction and Phillips Seed Farms for many years before retiring. Geri spent her retirement on the farm before moving to assisted living at Abilene Place this past May.Geri cherished spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes,decorating her home and attending card club.Surviving are sons, Steve who resides in Andover, KS, with spouse Nancy and children, Megan,Sarah and Kyle; Brent who resides in Murphy, TX with spouse Melissa and children, Katie (Matt) and Craig; Michael who resides in Salina, KS with children, Chelsie, Baylee and Lacie;brothers, Walter (Sally) of Abilene and Gary of Ketchum, ID. Geri is preceded in death by her spouse Bill, her parents, Eyler and Lillian, and older sister Marilyn who died as a young child six months prior to Geri’s birth.Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 6th, at the DannerFuneral Home with Pastor Jim Zier officiating. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery,rural Hope. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 5th, at the Danner Funeral Home.The family suggests memorial contributions in Geri’s name be given to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
