She was born April 13, 1932, in rural Delta to Walter and Berniece Elder Appleget. She married Jack D. Mateer on Feb. 4, 1951, in Sigourney; he died Nov. 28, 1969. She then married Allan M. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Mike Mateer, Rick Mateer and Randy Mateer; a daughter, Tammy Flack; four stepsons, Mark Ashby, Scott Ashby, Gary Ashby and Loren Ashby; 20 grandchildren; her mother of Sigourney; three sisters, Doris Waechter, Patty Sievert and Linda Brady; two brothers, Allen Appleget and Lynn Appleget; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter; and two brothers, Larry and Donald. Services will be held Wed., May 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Sigourney.
