Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Lillian Josephine (Girouex) Boeke was born on Wednesday; June 18, 1919, in McCord, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was the daughter of: Joseph and Ida (Espe) Girouex. Lillian was raised in Radcliffe by her Grandmother Sarah Espe after the deaths of her parents. She attended Radcliffe School graduating from Radcliffe High School in 1937. After graduation, she attended Central College and was a one room school teacher in several townships in the Radcliffe, Buckeye and Alden area. On October 24, 1942, she was united in marriage to Erwin H. Boeke in Omaha; Douglas County, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Hubbard, Ames, and Radcliffe farming and where they raised their family. In 1993 they sold their house in Radcliffe and moved into the house next to the Boeke Funeral Home in Radcliffe and worked for Mark Boeke until 1999. They moved to Iowa Falls in September of 1999. Lillian was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She was confirmed in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Radcliffe where she was active in the Ladies group and Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 60 years. Lillian loved to bake and garden, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lillian Josephine (Girouex) Boeke, age 91, passed away on Tuesday; August 10, 2010 at the Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls; Hardin County, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her three sons: Carl (Debrah) Boeke of Lakeville, Minnesota; James (Ina) Boeke and Randall (Connie) Boeke of Highlands, Texas. Her eight grandchildren: Lori (Troy) Miller, David (Susan) Jones, Lisa (Luke) Tibbs, Andrew (Jine) Boeke, Nathan Boeke, Renae Boeke, Rachel Boeke and Christina Boeke; five great grandchildren: Grace, Faith and Hope Jones and Daniel and Nicholas Tibbs. Her two step-grandchildren: Kristy Barnhill and Travis Baily; and her one step-great-grandson: Aidan Barnhill. May they rest in peace. May God bless her memory and give strength to those that mourn. Visitation will be from: 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday; August 13, 2010 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls; Hardin County, Iowa. Funeral services will begin at: 2:00 p.m. on Saturday; August 14, 2010 also at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Interment will be at the Hubbard Cemetery in Hubbard; Hardin County, Iowa. Memorial contributions in Lillian's name may be directed to the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
