Description	:	Lawrence area native, Lillian Brockman, age 90, of Lincoln departed this life November 9, 2015 at Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln. She was born on April 6, 1925 to John and Anna (Ourada) Pavelka. She attended Prairie Rose Elementary School and was a graduate of Deweese High school in 1942. On September 23, 1947, she was married to Howard Brockman at St. Martin's Catholic Church Loucky near Deweese. They spent their married life on the farm in the Lawrence area. She was born on April 6, 1925 to John and Anna (Ourada) Pavelka. She attended Prairie Rose Elementary School and was a graduate of Deweese High school in 1942. On September 23, 1947, she was married to Howard Brockman at St. Martin's Catholic Church Loucky near Deweese. They spent their married life on the farm in the Lawrence area. Mrs. Brockman attended St. Stephen's Catholic Church and later attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church after they retired and moved into Lawrence. She was a member of St. Stephens Altar Society and Sacred Heart Altar Society. In the summer of 2013, they moved to the Legacy Retirement Village in Lincoln. Lillian enjoyed golfing, playing cards and was just the life of the party. Lillian also worked for many years in the office of The Lawrence Locomotive and later at the Blue Hill Care Center. Her greatest pride and joy was her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters Donna Helman and husband Gary, Diane Kucera and husband Dan, DeEtta Mayrose and husband Terry all of Lincoln; son Duane and wife Jeanette of Lawrence; grandchildren Mitch Helman, Abby Helman, Megan Brockman, Sam Brockman, Tyler Brockman, Brad Kucera, Clint Kucera, Derrick Wilhelm, Erin Mayrose; five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Ken Brockman and wife Phyllis of Lincoln; nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard; her parents; sister Alice Hubl and husband Vic and brother Joe Pavelka and wife Julia. Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrence on November 13, 2015 with Fr. Thomas Bush officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Assisting for the service were: Lector Ken Pavelka; Acolyte Allen Ostdiek; Song Leader Megan Brockman; Organist Carolyn Mazour. Gift Bearers were granddaughters Abby Helman, Erin Mayrose, Kyler Hagemann. Following the Mass a poem was read by Abby Helman and a short Eulogy was given by Derrick Wilhelm. Pallbearers for their grandmother were Mitch Helman, Sam Brockman, Tyler Brockman, Brad Kucera, Clint Kucera, Derrick Wilhelm. Memorial has been established by the family. Burial was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Lawrence. Merten Butler Funeral Home, Blue Hill, NE was in charge of arrangements.
