She was also the granddaughter of George and Susanna Bowers Freeze, early settlers of Mechanicstown (now Thurmont), Maryland. Lillie was married twice. The first time was on November 8, 1882, in Thurmont, to James Milton Cover, son of Enos N. and Caroline Emilie Gernand Cover. They were the parents of one daughter, Mary Caroline Cover. James passed away in 1904, after which Lillie married 2nd to George Heimiller of Baltimore, Maryland. She passed away September 27, 1935, in Baltimore, and was buried on the 30th in Weller's Church Cemetery, Thurmont. Marriage date per James McGuigan's ledger: "November 8, 1882: Milton Cover and Lilly Freize were married." Obituary for Lillie Ann Freeze Heimiller from the Frederick Post, Monday, September 30, 1935: "Mrs. Lille F. Heimiller. Mrs. Lille Freeze Heimiller, widow of George Heimiller, died Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Milton Becker, Baltimore. She was aged 78 years and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Freeze, of Thurmont. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Becker, and a brother, Harry Freeze, of Thurmont. The body will be taken this evening to the home of Mr. Freeze at Thurmont, from which the funeral will be held this afternoon at two o'clock, with services conducted by Rev. Charles H. Corbett. Interment in the Thurmont United Brethren Cemetery. Wilhide and Creeger, funeral directors." Obituary for Lillie Ann Freeze Heimiller from the Catoctin Clarion of Friday, October 4, 1935: "Mrs. Lillie F. Heimiller. Mrs. Lillie Freeze Heimiller, widow of George Heimiller, died Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Milton Becker, Baltimore. She was aged 78 years and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Freeze, Sr., of Thurmont. Surviving area daughter, Mrs. Decker (sic), and a brother, Harry Freeze, of Thurmont. The body was brought to the home of Mr. Freeze at Thurmont, from which the funeral was held Monday afternoon at two o'clock, with services conducted by Rev. Charles H. Corbett. Interment in the Thurmont United Brethren Cemetery. Wilhide and Creeger, funeral directors."
