Description	:	COLUMIA - Services for Lillie Ann Goff Jones, 80, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. in the Nazareth United Methodist Church Cemetery in Saluda County, SC. The family will again receive friends in the Nazareth UMC fellowship hall following the burial. Mrs. Jones died peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital under the tender care of Hospice. Her daughter was by her side. Born July 31, 1934 in Saluda County, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Virgil and Eleanor Rutland Goff. After graduating from Batesburg-Leesville High School in 1953, Mrs. Jones attended Limestone College. She served as President of the Student Body and earned her BA in Music in 1957. Her training was quickly put to work in a Red Cross Hospital in Germany. As much as she loved Germany, she accepted a position with the Red Cross in Key West, Florida. One strong hurricane convinced her to head back to South Carolina for good where she enjoyed working at the University of South Carolina College Placement Center. She married Robert Jennings Jones in 1965, had one daughter, Robin, and taught piano lessons from her home while caring for her family. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Riggs (Tyler); and grandchildren, Zoe and Noah; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jennings Jones.
