Description	:	Lillie Louise Kellogg Miller was born July 17, 1928, daughter of Harry and Lillie Irwin Kellogg at Persia. She attended Persia Public School through the tenth grade when she quit to care for her ailing father. She married Virgil Robert Miller April 16, 944. After World War II she and her husband farmed first as hired help then their own farm south west of Persia. Moving to Persia in 1957, Virgil worked as a mechanic and she worked first as a waitress and cook for several restaurants in the Persia and Minden area. Later she worked as a bookkeeper... Read More	Lillie Louise Kellogg Miller was born July 17, 1928, daughter of Harry and Lillie Irwin Kellogg at Persia. She attended Persia Public School through the tenth grade when she quit to care for her ailing father. She married Virgil Robert Miller April 16, 944. After World War II she and her husband farmed first as hired help then their own farm south west of Persia. Moving to Persia in 1957, Virgil worked as a mechanic and she worked first as a waitress and cook for several restaurants in the Persia and Minden area. Later she worked as a bookkeeper for Peterson Auto Supply in Harlan for many years. She then worked for Communications Data Services (CDS) starting shortly after they opened their Harlan branch. She worked there until her retirement in 1990. They were the parents of four sons and two daughters. After raising her children, she completed her high school GED in 1977. She was very active in local organizations, serving on the local election board, chairman of numerous fund drives and holding several offices in the American Legion Auxiliary at the local, county, and district levels. She died October 27, 1991, at the age of 63 years, 3 months, 10 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and one daughter, Virginia Louise Martens. She is survived by her husband, Virgil; four sons, Larry of Harlan; Allan of Persia; Dale of Council Bluffs and Russell of Colorado; one daughter, Cindy Hulbert of Persia and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held October 30, 1991 at the Persia United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Persia cemetery.
