One of the prettiest weddings of the season was that of Miss Lillie Rebecca Mildred, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Shaff, and Mr. Henry Zimmerman Culler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Culler, which took place Wednesday afternoon, January 6, at the home of the bride's parents, at Feagaville. Promptly at 2 o'clock the bright couple entered the parlor to the _____ of the Lohengrin wedding march, beautifully rendered by Mrs. C. N. Trututle, and stood beneath an arch of evergreen and smilax, from which was suspended a white bell. They were met by Rev. A. G. Null, pastor of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, of which congregation both bride and groom are active members, who performed the ceremony in the presence of the immediate relative and a few close friends. The bride was attired in a white radium silk made empire, and carried Bride roses and malden-liair ferns. She wore slippers and gloves to match. The groom wore the conventional black with grey gloves. The parlor was beautifully decorated with plants and evergreens, and the house was illuminated with wax tapers, daylight being excluded. After the ceremony they received hearty congratulations, after which they all passed into the dinning room, where refreshments of a choice order were served. The dining room was decorated in white and green, the table having garlands of smilax from chandelier to table, and with a profusion of carnations and asparagus fern. The table was also illuminated with wax tapers. The reception lasted until 5 o'clock. The bride, who is a very popular young lady and has a host of friends, was the recipient of many handsome gifts. The groom is prosperous young farmer and has friends. Her obituary in The News, Frederick, Maryland, October 2, 1968. The funeral of Mrs. Mildred R. Culler, widow of Henry Z. Culler, who died Saturday, took place Tuesday from the M. R. Etchison & Son Funeral Home at 106 East Church Street. The Rev. George W. Wilt, pastor of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Feagaville, officiated. Pallbearers, all nephews, were Clyde, Roland and Robert Culler, James Shaff, Jr., Bernard Shaff and Charles Roberts. Interment was in St. Luke's Cemetery, Feagaville.
