Rickett Lincoln Cyrene Rickett, second son of William and Amanda Rickett, was born November 3, 1860 in Wapello County, Iowa and died at his home in Hedrick October 10, 1928, aged 67 years, 11 months, and 7 days. The deceased was united in marriage to Adaline E. Ludlam December 27, 1882 and to this union were born two children, Arlo E. Rickett of Pomona, California and a daughter who died in infancy. Rickett Lincoln Cyrene Rickett, second son of William and Amanda Rickett, was born November 3, 1860 in Wapello County, Iowa and died at his home in Hedrick October 10, 1928, aged 67 years, 11 months, and 7 days. The deceased was united in marriage to Adaline E. Ludlam December 27, 1882 and to this union were born two children, Arlo E. Rickett of Pomona, California and a daughter who died in infancy. On February 18, 1900, he united with the Hedrick Baptist Church, of which he was a member at the time of his death. He had not been permitted to attend service for several years on account of his wife's ill health. He was also a member of the Masonic Order of Hedrick, Lodge No. 485, joining May 13, 1902. He leaves to mourn his death his invalid wife and one son, Arlo E. Rickett and wife and two grandsons of Pomona, California, who were not able to be present at the funeral. Also a brother, A.D. Rickett and a sister, Mrs. Ida Purdy, both of Hedrick, besides a number of nephews and nieces and a host of friends and acquaintances. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and his departure will be felt by all. Mr. and Mrs. Rickett moved to Hedrick in the spring of 1894 and had made this their home ever since. Funeral services were held at the Hedrick Baptist Church Friday, October 12 at 1:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Luther W. Childs of the South Ottumwa Baptist Church and by the Masonic Order at the cemetery. Burial took place at the McCormick Cemetery hear Highland Center.
