Linda lost her brave battle with cancer at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, surrounded by family and a lot of love. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine by Deacon Joe Behounek. Burial will be in National Cemetery near Vining. Linda lost her brave battle with cancer at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, surrounded by family and a lot of love. Friends may call at Hrabak's on Monday, October 26, 2009 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM where a Scripture service will be held at 7:00 PM. Linda was born May 19, 1944 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of William and Carol White Bartosh. She received her education in the Cedar Rapids schools. Linda was very proud of achieving her GED later in life. Although she worked in several different jobs, her most recent employer was Lennox, Inc. in Marshalltown. Linda married Dennis Parizek, Sr. on June 25, 1960. They recently celebrated 49 years together. She is survived by her husband Dennis; six children. and 14 grandchildrenShe is a great-grandma to seven. Also surviving are her sister and a brother. She was preceded in death by her parents. Family and faith were extremely important to her. She loved to joke around with us even in her final days, but now they are some of the many memories we cherish. She always enjoyed being a mother and raising her children. There are many memories of family gatherings, volleyball and softball games, roller skating, dancing, playing cards, gardening, and making after school treats. She shared her deep faith with all and we are assured we will meet her again when God calls each of us by name. Linda was dearly loved and will be missed by all. Special thanks go to the staff at St. Luke's Hospital, 5C, and St. Luke's Hospice for all their love and support during this difficult time. May God bless you all XXOO.
