She was 72. Linda Lee Bain was born February 9, 1950, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Lyle, Sr. and Inez (Damm) Petit. She attended Sioux Falls schools, graduating from Washington Senior High School in 1968. She was united in marriage to Robert Bain on November 10, 1971, in Sioux Falls, SD. Linda became a loving mother and homemaker, and operated an in-home daycare for several years. For six years, Linda enjoyed league bowling on Saturday nights with Bob at Rec Bowl. Bob preceded her in death on June 12, 2020. In addition to doing puzzles, she also liked attending ceramic classes and making ceramics; many of which she would give away to family members and friends. In her free time, she enjoyed outings and taking day-trips with her family. Linda was a fantastic cook. Her specialty was all the mid-west home-cooking and comfort food dishes imaginable. Meatloaf, lasagna, meatballs, and hot dishes to name a few. But the fondest memories come from walking in her house and catching the wonderful aroma of freshly baked cake, cookies, and holiday pastries and treats. Linda loved to decorate cakes and cookies for friends and family members for birthdays and holidays. In the center of her life was her family. She cherished her daughter and grandchildren, and loved attending their activities when she could. Selfless and generous, Linda's loving and caring spirit will be well missed. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter, Nichole (Matt) Schlueter, Sioux Falls, SD; and grandchildren, Josh Schlueter and Tyler Schlueter. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, and one sister. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1400 S. Duluth Avenue. The family will be present to greet friends from 5-7 Wednesday evening at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue. - Miller Funeral Home
