Read More	Harlan Tribune Harlan, Iowa Tuesday July 5, 2005 page 4B Lindy Krohn, 44 March 22, 1961 - May 31, 2005 SHELBY — Lindy Lee Krohn was born March 22, 1961, in Council Bluffs, the youngest child of Clarence and Goldie Thoms Krohn. For most of his life, the town of Shelby was his home. He attended Shelby-Tennant Community School, and was a member of the graduating class of 1979. He furthered his education with a year of college at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Later, he spent a year in Florida where he graduated from Reservationist School. For 16 years, Lindy was employed at REM Leadway in Shelby. Since November of 2003, he worked as a Universal Sales and Service Associate for Netshops, an internet retail firm in Omaha, NE. He was a member of the Shelby Methodist Church, where he was chairman of the church council. He died at his home In Shelby May 31, 2005, at age 44 years, two months and nine days. Lindy is preceded in death by his parents; his half brother, Duane Krohn; and a nephew, Calvin Krohn. He is survived by two sisters, Janie Green of Shelby; Sally Casey of Council Bluffs; and half brother, Larry (Coralyss) Krohn of Persia; a niece, Valerie (Bryan) Cadwell of Wisconsin; nephews, Jeff (Amy) Casey of Council Bluffs and Dan Casey and friend, Sarah Pattee, Omaha, NE. Lindy also leaves a special friend, Michelle Winchester of Avoca, and other relatives. Funeral services were held June 3, 2005, at the Shelby Methodist Church with Pastor Orris Drake officiating. Inurnment was in the Shelby Cemetery. Honorary casket bearers were Larry Ploen, Stewart Messerschmidt, Allan Eggerss, Scott Kiesel, Mark Jensen, Steve Nelsen, Brian Eggerss and Steve Kiesel.
