Mr. Mangelsen was born on Aug. 13, 1927, in Nance County to Oscar and Lowie (Moses) Mangelsen. He married Peggy Jacobi on Oct. 21, 1967, in Blair. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jolene Rachel. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife; a sister, Faye Mangelsen of Moberly, Mo.; and two brothers, Willard Mangelsen of Macon, Mo., and Don Mangelsen of Fullerton. Mr. Mangelsen was born on Aug. 13, 1927, in Nance County to Oscar and Lowie (Moses) Mangelsen. He married Peggy Jacobi on Oct. 21, 1967, in Blair. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jolene Rachel. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife; a sister, Faye Mangelsen of Moberly, Mo.; and two brothers, Willard Mangelsen of Macon, Mo., and Don Mangelsen of Fullerton. He grew up in Nance County and received his education at Nance County schools. After completing his education, Lisle went to live in Illinois and worked on a farm for several years. He returned to Nebraska to live in Central City. After their marriage, he and Peggy made their home in Central City, where Lisle worked at Overland Sand and Gravel before going to work for the Merrick County Roads Department. After 22 years, Lisle retired from the Roads Department in 1988. Lisle and Peggy had lived at the Central City Care Center for the last several years. Lisle had a special love for his dog, Duke, who lived to be 15 years old, was his loyal companion and went everywhere with Lisle.
