She departed this life on May 12, 1960 at the St. Paul hospital at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 12 days. She departed this life on May 12, 1960 at the St. Paul hospital at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 12 days. At the age of ten, she came by covered wagon with her parents, two brothers to southeastern Nebraska. She grew to young womanhood and on February 10, 1892 was united in marriage to William J. Marrs. To this union four children were born. Mr. and Mrs. Marrs were one of the pioneer families in the Wolbach settlement, operating a large stock farm north of Wolbach. They moved to Iowa in 1930 where they spent the remainder of their married years. They were privileged to celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary. She leaves to mourn her passing, three daughters: Mrs. Stella Perry of Wolbach, Mrs. Viola Perlenfein of Des Moines, Iowa and Mrs. Hazel Hamilton of Fresno, California; one son, Ben Marrs of Mt. Ayr, Iowa; one brother, Harry Sutton of Bemidji, Minnesota; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother. She was baptized at an early age into the Methodist Church to which she remained a faithful member her entire life. (List of relatives attending followed.)
