Mrs. von Rentzell had been a sufferer of diabetes, but treatment for that had proved successful. Up till the time of the heart attack, which proved so suddenly fatal, she was in apparent good health. Lizzie Gertrude Dickey was born October 12, 1878 on a farm in Ohio. As a young girl she moved with her parents to a farm near Winchester, Tenn. and here she met William von Rentzell, to whom she was married Dec. 22, 1897. Seven sons and four daughters were born to the couple, with one of the daughters dying in infancy. In 1902 the family moved to Missouri and in the fall of 1908 to Knox county. At death Nov. 9, Mrs. von Rentzell was 61 years and 27 days. Left to mourn her passing are her husband; six sons, Fritz, Walter and Cecil at home; Albert of Des Moines, Ia.; Gustav and Earl of Creighton and Oscar, address, unknown; three daughters, Mrs. William Beckmann of Center; Mrs. Reinhard Doerr of Creighton and Mrs. Frank Koenig of Center; many grandchildren, other relatives and a wide circle of friends. The Congregational church at Center was not quite able to accommodate the many who assembled there Sunday afternoon to pay her a final tribute. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. G.B. Anderson of Creighton. Rites at the church at 2 were preceded by brief services at the home at 1:30. Music was provided by the Center church choir. Pallbearers were James and Tom Danaher, O.C.
