He is survived by his wife, Margaret, his sister Beryl, and countless nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Evan Lloyd and Theta Eliza (Rich) Sabey; sisters Darlene (Sabey) Proctor and Udine (Sabey) Duncombe and brother-in-law Lawrence Lowell Duncombe; brothers Gordon Rich Sabey and Evan Leron Sabey. Blair cherished Margaret as his beloved wife and best friend, and his priority was always her happiness. They celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary in October. Their home has always been a revolving door of friends and family where the food and fun were in abundance. No one leaves their home without feeling loved and uplifted, and a care package for the road. Blair was a talented athlete and avid sports fan. He was an all-star basketball player in his youth, and an enthusiastic and gifted golfer all his life. He was a hardworking man of great integrity who treated all with respect and dignity. He managed the Magrath Co-Op for many years, with Margaret by his side as the secretary. Blair always had a great joke to tell, and led a life of serving others. He deeply touched everyone he met, and never had a shortage of friends and family around who loved him in return. He will be so dearly missed. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, GARDEN PLACE CHAPEL, Magrath. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery.
