Description	:	BRINKHAVEN -- Lloyd Edwin Schopfer, 92, Brinkhaven, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012, at his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Glenmont with Fr. Steven Krile officiating. Burial will be at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. He was born March 30, 1920, in Richland Township, Holmes County, and was the son of John Edward and Margaret "Maggie" (Fox) Schopfer. On April 19, 1947, he married Petronilla "Pat" Smith, and she survives. He we a lifetime dairy farmer on the farm that his father established in 1902 and that his son still farms today. He was a 1938 graduate of Glenmont High School, a charter member of the Holmes County Farm Bureau Council and a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Glenmont. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Mary Margaret (Roger) Haycook, Holmesville, James David Schopfer, Danville, and Duane Edwin Schopfer, of the home; seven grandchildren, Kathryn (Tad) Kollar, Kelly (Gregory) Carson, Kristopher Haycook, Kayla Haycook and Rebecca, Sara and Anna Schopfer; six great-grandchildren, Natalie and Brienna Kollar and Charlotte, Alexander, Madeleine and Zachary Carson. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Klinger and Nellie Mae Kaylor; and six brothers, Benjamin, Walter, Alva, William, Paul "Pete" and Alton "Tony" Schopfer.
