Description	:	Lloyd G. Vanosdall, 83, of Greeley went to paradise on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at the Greeley Care Home with his family by his side. Lloyd, was born April 3, 1928, at home to George H. and Clara Marie (Andersen) Vanosdall, the 9th of 14 children, in Mount Pleasant Precinct near Greeley, Neb. Lloyd, was born April 3, 1928, at home to George H. and Clara Marie (Andersen) Vanosdall, the 9th of 14 children, in Mount Pleasant Precinct near Greeley, Neb. Lloyd attended rural school District 29 North, Greeley Co. Hard work was learned at a tender age doing what farm children do growing up. He worked at Woods Brothers Garage in Greeley, later hiring out shucking corn by hand at harvest and as a general hired farm hand. On Dec. 5, 1948, following another one of those 1948-49 blizzards, he was wed to Phyllis Elaine Byerly at the Scotia Methodist Episcopal Church. A limited number of the bridal party and guests were able to attend because of snow blocked roads. Lloyd and Phyllis were blessed with two children, Ronald Alan and Lois Elaine, both being a real joy and following Lloyd in his favorite hobbies of hunting, fishing and singing. He continued his singing, both in church choir and in duets with his daughter and often with his sister, Dorothy until he suffered a light stroke at age 60. Lloyd farmed his entire life until semi-retiring a few years before entering the Greeley Care Home in 2005. Lloyd loved people and spent much time visiting shut-ins and those in the area Care Homes. Besides his wife, Phyllis of Scotia, he leaves his daughter, Lois and Galen Hansen, Scotia, daughter-in-law, Sharlene (Johnson) Vanosdall Psota (Eldon), Ord; grandchildren, Dawn and Lincoln Roth, Columbus, Alan and Melanie Vanosdall, Scotia, Tisha and Nicholas Krajicek, Italy, Kurt and Sarah Hansen, Scotia, Becky Hansen, Bennington, Mandy Vanosdall, Ord; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Jarrod Roth, Dakota, Cierra, Dayton, Savannah, Gunnar, Nevaeh Vanosdall and Alexys Young, Julia and Cade Hansen, Aubrey and Addison Krajicek; brother, Eugene Vanosdall, sisters, Major Phyllis M. Vanosdall, Vivian and Denny York, Lorraine and Arch Ogg, Eleanor Moore; sisters-in-law, Martha Vanosdall, and Sharon Vanosdall. Those preceding him in death include his parents; his son, Ronald A. Vanosdall; brothers, Ralph, Lyle, Gerald and Harold (infant) Vanosdall; and sisters, Wanda Hahn, Twila Palmer, Lela Murphy, Dorothy Williams, and grandson, Troy Hansen.
