Read More	Obituary From “The Ottumwa Courier,” Monday, March 11, 1996: Lloyd Klyn OTTUMWA – Lloyd M. Klyn, 69, of 827 Albia Road, died March 8, 1996 at his home. He was born May May 25, 1926 in Monroe County to Marion and Bessie Theurer Klyn. He married Dorothy Downing March 10, 1962. She preceded him in death on Sept. 16, 1991. A resident of Ottumwa most of his life, he had been an employee of Matin Marietta, retiring in 1888. He was a social member of O.B. Nelson Post No. 3 of the American Legion. He is survived by a son, Wayne of Ottumwa; two step sons, Don and Ron Downing, both of Ottumwa; two daughters, Carla Howard of Bloomfield and Vicki Ruby of Ottumwa; a step-daughter, Betty Lou Simmons of Oskaloosa; six grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Glenn of Ottumwa and two sisters, Thelma Hervey of Hedrick and Sandra Vitko of Albia. He was preceded in death by his parents; a step daughter, Elizabeth Maynard and a brother, Max. The service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Jerry Ruby officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Lynn Kesterson, James Vance, Robert Storto, Ron Katko, Pete Barnhill and Bernard Shaw. A memorial has been established to the family.
