Description	:	ATHENS--Lloyd S. Bolin, 92, of Kurtz Street in Athens, formerly of Albany, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at Rocksprings Rehabilitation Center in Pomeroy after an extended illness. He was born March 9, 1906, in Meigs County, son of the late Thilbert and Mattie Steward Bolin. Mr. Bolin was retired from New York Central Railroad and Athens Mental Health Center. Read More	ATHENS--Lloyd S. Bolin, 92, of Kurtz Street in Athens, formerly of Albany, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at Rocksprings Rehabilitation Center in Pomeroy after an extended illness. He was born March 9, 1906, in Meigs County, son of the late Thilbert and Mattie Steward Bolin. Mr. Bolin was retired from New York Central Railroad and Athens Mental Health Center. Ealier, he was associated with Dr. E. I. Stanley of Albany. Until Recently, he lived at and was resident manager of Heritage Commons in Athens. he was a lifetime member of Albany Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon, trustee, treasurer and Sunday school superintendent for many years. Mr. Bolin was known for his culinary talents. He attended Columbus Culinary College, an operated the dining room of Albany Hotel, as well as several restaurants in Athens and Albany. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and William E. Miller of Albany, and Bartha and Rich Caravantes of San Diego, Calif.; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Lynne Bolin of Albany; another daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Bolin of Albany; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice E. Wood Bolin; two sons, Robert and Dwight; a sister, Ethel Tresenrider; a brother, James; and three infant brothers. Services will be Friday, 2 p.m., at Albany Baptist Church with Pastors Michael Rose and Scott Murray officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery. Friends may call at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home on Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. (The Athens Messenger, Wednesday, February 17, 1999)
