Lois was born June 5, 1920, in Central City, the daughter of Wallis and Minnie (Smith) Burnside. She graduated from Central City High School. Lois married Marvin F. Ellwood on Oct. 23, 1946, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She was employed by several families in Marion to clean their houses and they always said, "No one did as good a job as Lois." She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion. She loved playing cards with her friends at Scott Meadows and Scrabble with her sisters and brother. Lois also was a great pie maker, loving wife, mother, sister and grandma. She will be missed by many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mildred Smith.
