Description	:	Lois Elaine (CREVELING) BROWN, age 86, of Winner, South Dakota passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at Golden Prairie Manor in Winner, South Dakota. Lois was born October 31, 1917 in Ringgold County, Iowa. She graduated from Ellston High School in 1936. Lois' mother passed away when she was 13 years old, from this time on she lived with her Grandma HARTMAN helping her manage her motel. On May 18, 1936, Lois married Lawrence (Bud) BROWN in Missouri. Read More	Lois Elaine (CREVELING) BROWN, age 86, of Winner, South Dakota passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at Golden Prairie Manor in Winner, South Dakota. Lois was born October 31, 1917 in Ringgold County, Iowa. She graduated from Ellston High School in 1936. Lois' mother passed away when she was 13 years old, from this time on she lived with her Grandma HARTMAN helping her manage her motel. On May 18, 1936, Lois married Lawrence (Bud) BROWN in Missouri. They made their home in Ringgold County, Iowa farming and maintaining a trucking business. To this union four children were born, Harley, Bonnie, Mary Anna and Lee. In 1949, the family moved to Wood, South Dakota where they began farming and ranching. It's here where Lois and Lawrence raised their family and made many great friends. Lois enjoyed living on the farm and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She always had a big garden and loved to cook and can for her family. She also spent many hours sewing, crocheting and making blankets for her children and grandchildren. In 1974, Lawrence and Lois retired from the farm and moved to Winner. They spent their days visiting with friends and family. Lawrence passed away in December of 1991. Lois had missed him from the day he left this earth. Lois continued to stay on their acreage until 2001. She then moved to Golden Prairie Manor where she enjoyed making new friends and keeping in touch with old friends. She spent a lot of her time sending and receiving cards and letters. Lois will be remembered for her sense of humor, kindness and for the great love and devotion that she showed her family. She will be greatly missed by remembered forever in our hearts and souls. She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence in 1991, sons Harley in 2002 and Lee in 1961, grandson Shane ROBINSON in 2003, grandson-in-law Kevin DEBUS in 1994, brothers Wayne and Reson CREVELING and her parents, Iven and Pauline CREVELING. She is survived by two daughters; of South Dakota and Atwater, Ohio, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2003 at the United Methodist Church in Winner, South Dakota. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Wood, South Dakota. Mason Funeral Home in Winner, South Dakota was in charge of the arrangements.
