Description	:	Mrs. Lois McFarland, a life-time resident of Superior, died at Brodstone Memorial Hospital Tuesday evening at the age of 54 years. She was an elementary teacher. Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 p.m., at the Megrue Funeral Home with Rev. R.W. Caskey of Superior and Rev. June McElroy of Denver officiating. Caskey officiated at the services and interment was in Evergreen Cemetery. The following obituary was read at the service: Lois Elinor McFarland was born at Superior Oct. 16, 1912, and died at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Feb. 14, 1967. On April 18, 1935, she was married to Bard McFarland. Their daughter, Lynn, is Mrs. Roger Wilton of Superior. Until her husband's death in 1954 they lived on their farm in the Valley Home community. Since that time Mrs. McFarland taught in the elementary school systems of Nuckolls County, the last nine years in the north ward school in Superior. Mrs. McFarland was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church. She was affiliated with the American Association of University Women and the educational honorary sorority, Delta Kappa Gamma. In addition to her daughter, Mrs. McFarland is survived by a granddaughter, Shirley Wilton; her mother, Mrs. W. Ward Henderson, Superior; one brother, W. Ward Henderson, Sacramento, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. William M. Smith, State College, Pa., and Mrs. Eugene Kindig, Warren, Mich. The Superior Express, Thursday, date unknown
