Description	:	Mrs. Lois Ilene Simmons Taylor, age 90, widow of Roy Lee Taylor, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at Surry Community Nursing Home, Mount Airy. She was born in Surry County on Aug. 28, 1916, to the late Ellis Wilsher and Ida B. Adams Simmons. She was a retired farmer and homemaker, and a member of Jessup Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred Louise Taylor of the home, Linda Lee and Dean Wood, Mountain Park, Faye and Larry Needham, Pilot Mountain, and Kaylene Needham, Pilot Mountain; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Taylor, Randleman, Lester Roy... Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred Louise Taylor of the home, Linda Lee and Dean Wood, Mountain Park, Faye and Larry Needham, Pilot Mountain, and Kaylene Needham, Pilot Mountain; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Taylor, Randleman, Lester Roy and Linda Taylor, Pilot Mountain; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nonnie Taylor and Lillie Simmons, both of Pilot Mountain; and a brother, Hobert Simmons, Pilot Mountain. Mrs Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Nora Flinchum, Mary Roberts, Bertie Simmons, and two brothers, Wiley Simmons and Aldie Simmons. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home and Chapel in Pilot Mountain, with the Rev. Roger Vaden and the Rev. Bob Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Jessup Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
