She is survived by her children, Debbie Tedlock (Kokomo, IN), Steve (Melinda) Brown (Mishawaka, IN) Charlotte (David) Embry (Greenwood, IN), Sheila Bierman (Lafayette, IN), Mona (Joel) Conrad (Osceola, IN), Jim (Cheryl) Brown (Midway, AR), and Mark (Amy) Brown (Bristol, IN), and a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Charles (Albany, NY) and Mary Fulk (Kokomo), daughter Beverly Brown, son-in-law Larry Bierman and grandson Kyle Conrad proceeded her in death. Lois and Ona raised their children in Clinton County, IN. She was widowed on March 9, 1983 and relocated to Mishawaka in 1990 where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She had an enormous love for family and friends and a generous, resilient spirit. Lois sought out friendships. She never knew a stranger and would talk to anyone, anywhere. It didn't matter who you were, what you did or where you came from; nothing disqualified you from her genuine friendship. She spoke with conviction about what she believed and showed her sensitive nature. She had no reservation to share what was on her mind. She never knew a day without earrings and mauve nail polish. She had a magic touch when she held babies and pets. She found joy despite hardship. Instead of bitterness she chose to forgive, love, and laugh to the end of her life because of the power of Christ within her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. A celebration of her life and committal service at Kempton Cemetery, Kempton, IN will be planned at a later date.
