Description	:	Lois Jean (Walter) Williams, of rural Eddyville, NE., passed away, Friday, September 7, 2012, at her home. Jean was born March 3, 1923, in her family's home at rural Eddyville, NE. to Clarence and Ruth M. (Eastwood) Walter. Jean graduated from Eddyville (NE.) High School with the class of 1940, and then worked for a year at the Eddyville (NE.) High School. On December 21, 1942, she married the love of her life, Thurman Williams, in Lexington, NE. Read More	Lois Jean (Walter) Williams, of rural Eddyville, NE., passed away, Friday, September 7, 2012, at her home. Jean was born March 3, 1923, in her family's home at rural Eddyville, NE. to Clarence and Ruth M. (Eastwood) Walter. Jean graduated from Eddyville (NE.) High School with the class of 1940, and then worked for a year at the Eddyville (NE.) High School. On December 21, 1942, she married the love of her life, Thurman Williams, in Lexington, NE. One son was blessed to this marriage; Ross. Jean was active at an early age in livestock production and worked hard in helping on the family farm. She milked cows, selling cream and had a spotless milking parlor. Jean was also very active in the church work, being a Sunday school teacher and youth worker. Jean was also involved in Women's Church groups and received her 75 year membership pin. Jean was a tireless 4-H mother and grandmother. Jean was an avid reader and wrote in a journal everyday throughout her life. Jean was born on the family farm and lived a full life there and died peacefully in her chair which was a blessing and a great memory for all of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Survivors are: husband, Thurman Williams of Eddyville, Nebraska; son, Ross and wife Carol Thurman of Eddyville, Nebraska; grandsons, Bryce and wife Diana Williams of Eddyville, Nebraska and Greg and wife Tara Williams of Oconto, Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Sage, Tennyson, Gracie, Ava & Ella and a host of relatives and friends. Jean was preceded in death by: parents and infant sister Burial was in the Jewell Cemetery, Sumner, Nebraska.
