Description	:	Lois Neva Shuck, the daughter of William R. and Lillie (Diehl) Herrick, was born on December 28, 1911 near Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away on March 12, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Society in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 96 years, 2 months and 14 days. Lois was one of five children. She spent her entire life in Nuckolls County, living near Nelson and at Superior. On October 12, 1936 she was married to Ralph A. Read More	Lois Neva Shuck, the daughter of William R. and Lillie (Diehl) Herrick, was born on December 28, 1911 near Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away on March 12, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Society in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 96 years, 2 months and 14 days. Lois was one of five children. She spent her entire life in Nuckolls County, living near Nelson and at Superior. On October 12, 1936 she was married to Ralph A. Willett, who lost his life in the service of his country in Holland in 1945. On May 17, 1947 she was married to Carol Eugene Shuck. They made their home in Superior. Mrs. Shuck was a teacher in the public schools of Nuckolls County for 35 years, where she taught generations of students. A graduate of Nelson High School (class of 1929), she earned her baccalaureate degree from Kearney State Teachers College. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was an honorary member of Delta Kappa Pi Sorority. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph, and Carol, in November 2002;her parents; a sister, Norma Hummel; and one brother, Vernon Herrick. Survivors include a brother, Willis Herrick of Calhan, Colorado and a sister, Wilma Anderson of Superior. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 17, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Dorthea Fairbanks officiating. Music was "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross", with Stephanie Thayer as soloist and Betty Schott as organist. Pallbearers were Jack Skinner, Rick Johanson, Steve Hiatt, Steve Gunn, John Combs and Wayne Adams. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
