She was born on June 14, 1924 in Hamler, Ohio to the late Charley & Emma (Mahlman) Eickhoff. On February 25, 1943, she married Melvin Sweinhagen, who preceded her in death on May 18, 2010. She is survived by children, Judy Martin and Jerry (Karen) Sweinhagen, all of Napoleon, Ohio; Jeffrey (Penny) Sweinhagen of Grand Rapids, Ohio; Joel Sweinhagen, and daughter-in-law, Vickie Sweinhagen, all of Defiance, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and brother, Rudy Eickhoff. She was preceded in death by son, James, great granddaughter, Stefanie Marie and brothers, Reimund and Herbert Eickhoff and twin brothers, Alfred & Alvin Eickhoff. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 21, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon.A lunch will immediately follow the funeral service at the church. Committal services will be held on Thursday at Riverview Memory Gardens in Defiance, Ohio at 2:00 PM following the lunch. Visitation will be on Wednesday at Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon from 2-5 and 6-8 PM and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Suggested memorials are to St. Paul Lutheran School, Hospice of Henry County, or The Lutheran Home of Napoleon.
