Read More	The following provided by Find A Grav contributor "Cara": Great Falls Tribune (MT), 16 Nov 1982 Centenarian Foster Dies Lora Foster, 101, 14 21st St. S., a homesteader in the Floweree area, died Monday in a local nursing home. A memorial service for Mrs. Foster will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church. Private burial will precede the service. Born at Pullman, Wash., on Oct. 2, 1881, she was raised on a farm near Pullman and attended rural schools in that area through the ninth grade, marrying Horace Foster at Pullman in 1899 when she was 17 years old. The couple came to Montana in 1909 and homesteaded at Floweree, a move that Mrs. Foster viewed without much enthusiasm, referring to their early years in Montana as "that homestead business." The Fosters farmed near Floweree until 1949 when they moved to Great Falls. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1949. After her husband's death in 1953, Mrs. Foster began making quilts patterned in cross-stitch designs, completing 14 of them over the years. A display of her quilts was once mounted in Paris Gibson Square. She was a charter member of the Portage Home Demonstration Club and belonged to the Order of Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. Surviving are three daughters, Doris Golden of San Diego, Calif., and Agnes Dundas and Elva Zoller, both of Great Falls; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Helen Allen, Port Townsend, Wash. Two sons, LaVerne and Warren, preceded her in death.
