STOCKER - Wednesday - September 16, 1992 EAST WENATCHEE _ Loren C. Stocker, 76, East Wenatchee, a former longtime resident of the Lake Chelan area, died Tuesday morning, Sept. 15, 1992, at his home. He was born July 22, 1916, in Beebe, the son of Alvin and Constance (McQuarrie) Stocker. He moved to Wenatchee about 1928 and graduated from Wenatchee High School. He married Valene Arter on Sept. 30, 1937, in Wenatchee. They resided in Chelan, where he was employed on a family ranch. He was later employed with Valley Evaporating Co. at Chelan Falls and operated a trucking business. He began employed with Washington Water Power in 1948, which later was purchased by the Chelan County PUD. He worked for the PUD until his retirement in 1986. He continued working in his orchard on Howard Flats. Mr. Stocker attended several churches and belonged to the Body of Christ. He was also a member of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local No. 77. Survivors include his wife, at the home; two sons, Marvin and Vernon, both of Chelan; a daughter, Carol LeRay, East Wenatchee; one brother, Lock, Chelan; two sisters, Enid Ervin, Chelan, and Beverly Baerd, Cashmere; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and two grandsons. Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan, is in charge of arrangements.
