Description	:	Loren LaMarr Smith, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Friday April 12, 2019 with his family by his side. Loren was born August 20, 1939 to the late Gale and Angie (Arrants) Smith. Loren leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Martha (Tracy) Smith; three sons David (Beth) of Strongsville, OH, Jeff (Lisa) of Carmel, IN, Dan (Chanda) of Bluffton, OH and a daughter Sodie (Tracey) Warren of Archbold, OH; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a sister Lana (Charles) Missler of Bryan, OH and a brother Les (Diane) of Waterville, OH. Loren was born August 20, 1939 to the late Gale and Angie (Arrants) Smith. Loren leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Martha (Tracy) Smith; three sons David (Beth) of Strongsville, OH, Jeff (Lisa) of Carmel, IN, Dan (Chanda) of Bluffton, OH and a daughter Sodie (Tracey) Warren of Archbold, OH; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a sister Lana (Charles) Missler of Bryan, OH and a brother Les (Diane) of Waterville, OH. Preceding him in death were an infant son Douglas, brothers Lynn and Lloyd and sister Louise Snyder. Loren lived his entire life in Hicksville. He graduated from Hicksville High School in 1957. While in high school he lettered in basketball and track. In April of 1960 he married Martha and they resided next to the family farm. Loren had a servant’s heart and volunteered his time. He was an active member at Trinity United Methodist Church, a committee member of the Boy Scout Troop 216 and a little league baseball coach. He was a faithful employee at Dana Corporation until retirement. What free time Loren had, he spent pitching horseshoes, camping or watching The Ohio State Buckeyes sports. The family will receive visitors at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Monday from 2:00-6:00. A funeral will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00. Burial will follow at Forest Home Cemetery.
