Loren Leland Lagge was born July 24, 1944, in Tripp to Carl and Johanna (Weisser) Lagge. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He married Joyce Schimke in August of 1971. He began working for the United States Post Office in 1991. He also worked for Country Meats as a meat cutter and helped process deer. He later married Kathy Feller on May 10, 1997. He retired from the Post Office in March of 2007. He was a square dance caller and an active promoter for over 20 years. He died Friday, March 23, at the age of 62 years. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Lagge, Garretson; daughters, Lisa (Steve) Dammann, and Tami Lagge, both of St. Libory, NE; step-daughters, Shelly (Scott) Rorvick, Watertown, and Janie Lundberg, Garretson; 12 grandchildren, Zach, Austin and Lane Dammann, and Kane and Devon Lagge-Coaker, all of St. Libory, NE, Geri (John) Bunkers, Harrisburg, Casey, Brady, Laci and Demi Rorvick, all of Watertown, and Greg and Nick Lund-berg, Garretson; siblings, Helen (Glen) Tiede, Lamars, Iowa, Don Lagge, Stickney, Hilda (Delwin) Benne, Oakland, NE, Richard (Robin) Lagge, Lincoln, NE, Sandy (Gene) Abney, NE, Ben (LuAnn) Lagge, Corsica; and a host of other relatives and friends.
