Read More	Loren Virgil Lindemann, son of Virgil Lindemann and Irma Murken Lindemann, was born January 20, 1944 in Boone, Iowa. He died January 20, 2016 at the Perry Lutheran Home in Perry, Iowa at the age of 72 years. Loren grew up on a farm in Boone County, Iowa. He graduated from Boone High School in 1962. After high school, Loren joined the Iowa Army National Guard where he served for 7 years before being honorably discharged. On October 9, 1971, Loren was united in marriage to Elaine Hockett at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Boone, IA. They were the proud parents of one daughter Lisa. They made their home on a farm north of Boone. Loren loved farming and when he wasn’t planting or harvesting he would spend his time going to farm auctions or fixing things that needed repair. He was a handyman that could find a way to fix almost everything. He also enjoyed taking Elaine on rides around the county on their motorcycle. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Loren was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Boone, IA. Loren was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Elaine of Boone, IA; his daughter Lisa (Matt) Stotts of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 5 grandchildren: Kyle, Aaron, Cody, Riley, and Telsche; his sister Vera (Bob) Theobald of Omaha, NE; 2 sisters-in-law: Kathleen (Bill) Whitver of Belmond, IA and Lori Hockett of Ames, IA; 3 brothers-in-law: Norman (Anne) Hockett of Ames, IA, Paul (Karla) Hockett of Ankeny, IA, and Kevin Hockett of Ankeny, IA; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
