She was born May 28, 1914, in Lincoln County to Ole and Alma Wicklund Jergensen. She graduated from North Platte High School in 1930. On March 2, 1941, she married George Huffman in Yuma, Ariz. She was born May 28, 1914, in Lincoln County to Ole and Alma Wicklund Jergensen. She graduated from North Platte High School in 1930. On March 2, 1941, she married George Huffman in Yuma, Ariz. From 1941 to 1945, she was a secretary at the Nash-Finch Company. From 1950 to 1980, she and her husband owned and operated Huffman Construction in North Platte, where she was a secretary and bookkeeper, until their retirement. After retirement, they moved to Omaha. Her husband preceded her in death in 1984. In 1994, she returned to North Platte. Mrs. Huffman was a member of the First Baptist Church, American Baptist Women's Circle, Shriner's Club, American Legion, Eagles Auxiliary, and a life member of the Cody School Parent-Teacher Association. She enjoyed doing crafts, knitting, and crocheting. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed baking cookies and cinnamon rolls.Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jane Hepburn of North Platte; two sons, Jim (Donna) and Thomas, both of Omaha; two sisters, Viola Hinman and Bertha (Ivan) Maline, both of North Platte; a brother, Dale (Mildred) Jergensen of North Platte; a sister-in-law, Florence Jergensen of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Foland, Nikki Huffman, Kara Huffman, all of Omaha, and Bryan (Brianne) Huffman of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and special friend, Milton Mann of Gothenburg. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Frances Rose; and a brother, Glen Jergensen. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church or the Callahan Cancer Center of North Platte. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in North Platte with the Revs. Steven Jergensen and Perry Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte. North Platte Telegraph
