Description	:	Lorene E. Mueller, 91, of Hooper died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at Hooper Care Center. Lorene was born Dec. 13, 1921, in Lincoln, Ill., to Adolph and Marie (Vogt) Struening. In 1929, the family moved to Nebraska. Lorene attended a country school near Seward and then Seward High School from the ninth grade through graduation. Lorene was born Dec. 13, 1921, in Lincoln, Ill., to Adolph and Marie (Vogt) Struening. In 1929, the family moved to Nebraska. Lorene attended a country school near Seward and then Seward High School from the ninth grade through graduation. After high school, she worked in Seward and then in Lincoln for the Credit Bureau where she handled the blue book and was the telephone operator. Lorene married Allen Mueller on March 18, 1972. After their marriage she joined him on his farm north of Arlington. Lorene moved to the Hooper Care Center in 2010. Allen preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 2010. Lorene was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Winslow. She also was a member of the LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League), Merry Mrs. Club, American Legion Auxiliary and the American Shorthorn Association. She also was preceded in death by a brother. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Winslow. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
