Description	:	Lorene G. Krueger, 90, of Waverly, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly. She was born Aug. 23, 1918, in rural Waverly, daughter of Herman and Emille Kohagen Oltrogge. On June 4, 1939, she married Loren Krueger at St. John Lutheran Church, Maxfield. He died Oct. 10, 1993. She graduated from Waverly High School in 1937 and then received her BA in elementary educastion from Wartburg College. Krueger, 90, of Waverly, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly. She was born Aug. 23, 1918, in rural Waverly, daughter of Herman and Emille Kohagen Oltrogge. On June 4, 1939, she married Loren Krueger at St. John Lutheran Church, Maxfield. He died Oct. 10, 1993. She graduated from Waverly High School in 1937 and then received her BA in elementary educastion from Wartburg College. Mrs. Krueger taught school from 1953 to 1984, the first six years in rural schools in the Waverly and Denver areas and the last 25 years for the Denver Community School System, retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Waverly. Survived by: a daughter, Janice (Neil) Hartmann of Denver; two sons, Darrel (Steffanie) of Denver and Dennis (Cheryl Fleshner) of Waverly; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola Teisinger of Denver; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Oltrogge of Denver. Preceded in death by: a brother, Orville Oltrogge; and a brother-in-law, Merle Teisinger. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, Waverly. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to the church or the family.
