Description	:	Lorene Marie Shipley, age 72 of Douds, died Sunday February 12, 2012 at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua, IA. Lorene was born July 30, 1939 in rural Douds, Iowa to Claude and Ella Mae Laughlin Findlay. She married Harley R."Bud" Shipley on July 9, 1955. He died in June of 1987. She was a school bus driver for Van Buren Community School District for 16 years and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and reading. Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 3 brothers Earl, Ronald, and Hugh Findlay. According to her wishes her body has been cremated. Private burial of cremains will be at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 pm Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established.
