MRS.LURETTA ANNE DONALDSON Mrs. Luretta Anne Donaldson widow of the late John Donaldson passed away at Huron, Kansas, Friday after a critical illness of but a few days. She was employed in a home three blocks from that of her daughter, Mrs. Pearl Dice, who is sick with the flu. Mrs. Dice had suffered the third relapse of the disease and her mother was on her way to visit her Wednesday stopping at the post office enroute where she became ill and was taken home with pneumonia in a violent form caused her death the following Friday. Her sister-in-law, Mrs. Milo Holden of Abilene was with her Thursday and Friday. She was well know to many of the older citizens of this vicinity which was the home of her husband during his childhood and youth and where they often visited. Mrs. Donaldson would have been 76 years old had she lived until March. She grew to womanhood in the Huron neighborhood and had been a member of the Baptist church there for many years. After her marriage to John W. Donaldson they resided in Horton where he was a carpenter and contractor. A number of years ago they moved to Calexico, California, where his death occurred in 1923 and later Mrs. Donaldson returned to Huron, Kansas. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Pearl Dice, one granddaughter, one brother, C./ M. Anderson who lives north of Horton, and many friends. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Huron Baptist church and the body brought to Sabetha and laid to rest beside her husband i the family lot here. Mrs. Dice was too ill to attend the funeral but a large cortege of friends and other relatives accompanied the remains.
